Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Course
(Original Certification)

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course teaches the skills necessary to immediately help people in various life emergencies, before more advanced care or transport to a hospital becomes available.

This course covers

CPR performance on adults, children, and infants
Rescue breathing
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
Choking rescue

The course includes

Special considerations (e.g. pregnant patients)
Rescue team dynamics
Additional life emergency topics (heart attack, stroke, opioid use, etc.)

An eBook is emailed prior to class. Students who successfully pass a post-class exam receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider card, which is valid for 2 years.

Basic Life Support Provider Course
(Renewal Certification)

This Renewal Course has the same content as the BLS Original Course listed above, and is appropriate only for students who possess a BLS Provider card that has not yet expired. Valid AHA BLS cards must be presented to instructor before class start. The course includes the BLS for Healthcare Providers eBook manual, which is emailed prior to class.

Students who successfully pass post-class exam receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider card, which is valid for 2 years.

Heartsaver CPR & AED Course

The Heartsaver® CPR & AED class caters to people with a responsibility to respond to life emergencies due to the nature of their job or regulatory requirements, including:

School Teachers/Staff
Childcare Workers
Police & Firefighters
Athletic Coaches
Airline Personnel
Restaurant Employees

This course is also relevant to lay rescuers and family members that may encounter people at high risk of experiencing life emergencies.
An eBook is emailed prior to class. Students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED card after course completion. No test required for card.

Heartsaver CPR, AED, & First Aid Course

The Heartsaver® CPR, AED, & First Aid class is designed to educate non-healthcare professionals on CPR, AED, and the critical skills necessary when first responding to emergency situations before more advanced care teams arrive. It discusses:

Choking rescue
Rescue breathing
Shock
Excessive bleeding
Broken bones
Burns
Environmental hazards (i.e. Bites, stings, poison)

This course includes an eBook which is emailed prior to class. Students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED card after course completion.
